This building serves as the new world headquarters for Chatham Financial Services. It is equipped to handle their huge volume of immediate information, and is designed to blend into this rural area outside of Philadelphia. At three stories and 26,615 SF, this building includes a cafeteria, training room, data rooms and workspace for over 100 employees. The beautiful timber frame and steel turnbuckle roof system is a major focal point of the building and is highlighted by the flags from the different countries of the Chatham Financial workforce. We incorporated 32 control points to allow for efficient heating and cooling in this unique building, and utilized the raised roof area to distribute air to the large open offices, concealing ductwork and providing an even temperature throughout. Site work included underground water detention, construction of a boulder retaining wall, as well as a cast-in-place bridge for the driveway.
